PETER BRIGG became hooked on fishing more than 50 years ago when a little Buffalo River rainbow trout attached itself to his Red-tailed Invicta. His formative years were spent pursuing the trout in the rivers and streams of the Border and North Eastern Cape regions.
After moving to Natal in 1973 he was introduced to the pristine mountain streams of the Drakensberg where he has more recently, blended his flyfishing interests with his other passions of hiking, photography and art.
He is a respected writer with numerous feature articles appearing in local and overseas flyfishing magazines including Flyfishing, The Complete Flyfisher and Fly Fishing and Fly Tying, as well as various publications of the Federation of Southern African Flyfishers (FOSAF).
This book, Call of the Stream, is a culmination of that blend of interests incorporating many years of photography, his own artwork and three years of writing of the places, the events and the people he has come in contact with.
